The late founder of KFCC is Mrs. Jin-Ho Yum. She was born in Russia and was one of the most active women politicians in Korea's modern history. She founded KFCC, the first nonprofit organization in Korean-American community in New York area, to help domestic violence victims, and made many contributions to Korean-American community. She also played an integral role in birth of Korean Women's Association, Korean Catholic Church of Queens, and Korean Senior-Citizen Association. She is remembered as one of the most active and respected female community leaders in Korean American community.

| OPERATION |

The organization is operated with membership dues from 60 board members, donations from various organizations and individuals from Korean-American community, and funds from corporations and foundations such as Verizon, ChaeMorgan, United Way, Women's Foundation, and Open Meadow's Fund. We have 3 dedicated employees and more than 30 professional volunteers to provide a wide range of counseling and programs to our clients all at free of charge.
